As part of a broader initiative to implement the FAIR principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability and Reusability) for digital research objects such as research code, data, notes, metadata and images, ETH Zurich is opening a second call for the FAIR Competence Funding scheme.
In this second call for proposals, FAIR Competence Funding will provide up to CHF 50k for a maximum of 12 months to support the further training of Research Data Management and Research Software Engineering specialists, as well as the expansion of the services they provide to the ETH research community. Proposals from researchers with RSE and/or RDM responsibilities in research groups are also welcome.
Applications for sums less than the maximum may also be submitted.
The deadline is 15 September 2026.
